There are only two of us so we dont have the washing of a large family. Dried in about half an hour with no need for ironing. The second load was one bath towel, two hand towels and two pillow cases (there was still room for smaller items). It was fully dry in less than an hour and with no need for ironing has gone away. The first load was one double quilt and two pillow cases (there was still room for smaller items). Today Im using the Dri Buddi for some items I hung on the airer outside late afternoon and are not quite dry. I also use the multi hangers with the little pegs to dry underwear. You dont have to use just child size hangers. I use a mixture of hanger type and sizes. You need to allow the hot air to circulate easily. Personally I hang as many items as I can as long as they do not touch each other or the sides/bottom of the Dry Buddi (10-14 items obviously depends on size). Yes I agree with other reviews that it is diffcult to hang 18 items of clothing and dry them properly. Again most things dont need ironing and can go straight away. On colder/rainy days the washing has a double spin and if its a large load I put some things on the airer first (mostly on hangers) and the others go straight in the Dr Buddi. Most of the items dont need ironing and can go straight away. Later if necessary I use the Dri Buddi as an airing cupboard just to make sure the washing is completely dry. On sunny days the washing has a double spin and then goes outside (mostly on hangers on my airers). Reading all the reviews both good and bad it took me a while to decide but its been the right decision for me so far. So, I'm sorry but the final decision has to be yours. Its also worth getting a pack of cheap plastic coat hangars to use purely with the Buddy. I try and not fill the washing machine til its crammed, so I can easily fit the load into the Buddy, and have as much water removed as possible. I would also set the washing machine to spin at the highest speed, and so removing as much water as possible. Other things like woollens or towels, I would place over a traditional drying horse overnight, to dry naturally. as I would put mainly cotton or man made fabrics in it, and have plenty of time to wait for it to dry. Mmm would I say its worth the money? Personally for my use, it is. Though saying that, I wouldnt recommend leaving it on at night, or when you go out. one position is permanently on, the other operates on a timer up to 3 hours. The one thing I ommitted to say, is that it has a timer setting.
